It creates a perfectly uniform sheet of flowing water, and it provides biological and mechanical filtration. The Biofalls include 2 3 filter pads (depending on model) and a mesh bag for loose filter media (not included) such as bioballs. As water rises through the filter media, loose debris becomes trapped in the media, and the water flows out the waterfall.
